Budget expectations 2014-15


STUDENTS
- There should be emphasis on employment-oriented courses, starting from secondary education.
- More efforts should be made to improve qualifications of teachers and institutions must be formed for the purpose.
- Every state must have an IIM, IIT and national institutes.
- Research work should be encouraged at the university-college levels.
- Coordination between education and industries must be expedited.
- It must be ensured that the benefits of education reach all sections of society, while privatising the education sector

EMPLOYEES
- Give a push to the growth rate and reduce inflation.
- Raise the income tax limit to Rs 3 lakh.
- Tax exemption amount should be raised to Rs 2 lakh.
- Interest on savings accounts must be increased.
- Increase in transport allowance.
- Saral Form should be simplified.
- Nine per cent interest on PF.
- Tax Exemption for home loans should be increased from 1.5 lakh to 3 lakh.
- Amount for health insurance under section 80 D should be increased.
