July 27,2014: As per the second allotment to MBBS announced by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, candidates with Medical Rank up to 1858 have got allotment to MBBBS in State Merit when allotments were made to 9 Government, 1 Government Controlled Self-financing and 12 Private Self-financing Medical Colleges.

In the first allotment, only seven Government, 1 Government Controlled Self-financing and 4 Private self-financing Medical Colleges were included in the allotment and the last allotment for MBBS under State Merit, in these 12 colleges went to rank 1095 which was in Private Self-Financing College, while in the Government Medical Colleges and Government Controlled Self-financing Medical colleges, they were, 531 and 634 respectively.Now the last ranks in State Merit for MBBS in Government Medical Colleges and Government Controlled Self-financing Medical colleges after the second allotment stand at 693 and 808 respectively.Allotments were made to 1745 of the 1775 MBBS seats available for allotment. Community quota seats in 4 Private Self-financing Medical colleges coming under the Kerala Christian Professional College Management Federation have been filled.

However, the 15 seats each in Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College, Karakonam, Thiruvananthapuram and Azeezia Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Meeyyannoor P O, Kollam under community quota, have not been filled in the second allotment. In the newly started Government Medical College at Palakkad, 70 seats have been allotted to students belonging to Scheduled Caste category. The number of seats here under State Merit is 21. The remaining 9 seats have been allotted to EZ (3 seats), MU (3 seats), BH (1 seat) and ST (2 seats).

At Government Medical College, Idukki, 42 seats were included in this allotment of which 29 are state merit seats. The seats in other categories are as follows: EZ-2, MU-4, LC-1, SC-4, ST-1. One seat is under PI (sports-Individual) category.For BDS, candidates with Rank up to 2101 got State Merit Seat in the 4 Government Dental Colleges, including Government Dental College, Alappuzha which has been included in the second phase of allotment.In Government Controlled Self-financing (1 college) and Private self-financing (13 Nos) Dental Colleges, the last State Merit allotment has gone to Rank 2358 and 3732 respectively.Allotments were also made to the Medical Allied Courses along with the second phase of allotment to MBBS/BDS. The last ranks in state merit for the various courses are as follows: AA – 3240, AF – 3759, AV - 3165, BA –3297 (Ayurveda Rank) and FR – 3745.

The details of allotment of a candidate are available on the home page of the candidate. Candidate should take a printout of the allotment memo and produce it before the authorities of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) for payment of fee/balance fee. The list of designated branches of SBT is available on the website.Those candidates who receive an allotment afresh should remit the fees to be paid to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations as specified in the allotment memo at any of the designated branches of State Bank of Travancore between 29.07.2014 and 02.08.2014. Those who get a change in allotment than that of the previous allotment should pay the balance fee, if applicable, in SBT.All candidates who have an allotment to MBBS/BDS courses or other Medical & Allied courses, after paying the fee/balance amount within the stipulated time, should join the courses/colleges on or before 02.08.2014. Those candidates who do not remit the fee/balance fee within the stipulated time and those who do not join the respective colleges will lose their allotment and also their higher options. They will be removed from the entire online allotment process for the existing courses/colleges.College Authorities have been asked to submit the Non-Join Report to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations before 5.30 pm on 02.08.2014. The Notification issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations also says that this phase of allotment is the last phase of allotment to Medical/Dental Colleges under Kerala Christian Professional College Management Federation.
