UKIERI Pre Bid Workshops (India)

UKIERI is organizing pre bid workshops to help potential applicants understand the application process for the current
call announced under UKIERI. These workshops are aimed at individuals/institutions that are new to UKIERI.
Therefore, priority will be given to newer institutions. The main aim of these workshops is to apprise the potential
applicants with the application and evaluation process.
The workshops are currently being planned in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai
If you are interested in attending one of the workshops, please mail the registration form, latest by Thursday, 14th
August 2014 to with subject as – Workshop Registration. Please note that we have limited
seats for each workshop. Confirmation mail about your participation would be sent by Saturday, 16 August 2014.
Please note all travel expenses will have to be borne by the participants. There is no registration fee for participation in
these workshops. Before registering, please read the application documents and check your eligibility.

To support research, faculty exchange and knowledge transfer across all subject areas. The call
is open for all public HE institutions in UK. In India all those public institutions which are fit to receive
development grants from University Grants Commission are eligible to apply.
Innovation Partnerships: This strand focuses on enhancing the innovation capacity between universities and higher
education institutions in India and the UK by promoting partnerships. The strand is aimed at strengthening
engagement and encouraging potential collaborations between the Indian and UK Higher Education systems by
promoting and assisting registered PhD students and post-docs in India and the UK to collaborate through Thematic
Partnerships. These partnerships are jointly funded and supported by University Grants Commission and Department
of Science & Technology from India currently.
