Campus interview will be held at KVASU, Pookode, Wayanad campus during February 2015

                     Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University is entering in to a meaningful collaboration with MRCMPU(MILMA) in Six northern districts of the State.MRCMPU decided to purchase the mineral mixture for dairy farmers serving MRCMPU through milk Co-operatives. Based on the indent given by MRCMPU, Department of Animal Nutrition of KVASU Mannuthy campus will supply the appropriate quantity of area specific scientifically formulated KVASU mineral mixture in areas covering the MRCMPU dairy farmers.
Launching of the product through MRCMPU will be held at Chittoor on 20th January 2015.Technical briefing will be given by the Animal Nutrition scientists and Farmers meet will be convened on the same day. The mineral mixtures of 1 kg packets will be distributed to the farmers through the Milk societies of Chittoor block at the rate of Rs. 70 per kg, after deducting the transportation charges from the performa invoice. Transportation charges will be met by KVASU. Appropriate leaflets will be distributed to the beneficiaries. About 1.2 tons of the mineral mixture is required to meet the demand as expressed by the MD, MRCMPU on 20th Jan 2015. MRCMPU decided to procure 6 Tons of KVASU mineral mixture per month on a continuous basis. Advance payment if required in this regard will be given by MRCMPU.
MRCMPU in collaboration with KVASU will establish Veterinary Services cum Entrepreneurship centres in the Malabar region. 25 Centres will be established initially. Each centre will be manned by a Veterinary graduate and diploma holder in Veterinary laboratory techniques. The Veterinary graduates will be paid Rs. 28000 as salary per month, who are expected to attend at least two clinical cases per day (60 cases per month ) and incentives for each extra cases over and above 60 will be given. Conveyance facilities and medicine kit will be provided to the Veterinary doctors. Laboratory technicians will be employed to assist the Veterinarians; the laboratory diploma holders of KVASU will be selected for the programme and training on quality assurance will be provided to the technicians. The laboratory technicians will be paid Rs.11, 000 per month. Three centres will be established in tribal belts of Kerala at Kasargode, Attapadi (Palakkad) and Sugandagiri (Wayanad). Moreover KVASU –MRCMPU centre will act as technology and knowledge dissemination centres and sales counter facilities for sale of publications and products of KVASU. KVASU’s 24x7 veterinary services namely e Vet connect will be linked with the Veterinary and Entrepreneurship Centres and will provided Call centre, CRM and Emergency facilities.


           Campus recruitment will be conducted at KVASU Pookode campus in February 2015 to recruit the appropriate candidates for the proposed Veterinary services and Entrepreneurship service centres.25 Veterinary graduates and 25 Diploma holders in laboratory animal techniques for MRCMPU projects will be held at CVAS, Pookode during February 2015. Moreover A Malaysian firm will recruit three Veterinary graduates and one diploma holder in laboratory animal techniques during the Campus interview.
