Kochi: National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai has invited applications for admission to doctoral course of Academic Year 2016-17.

Eligibility: 
a. Regular Candidates:
Masters degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Technology, Management, Economics, Commerce, Social Science, Life sciences and Pure Sciences with 60% aggregate marks (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD (Person with Disability) candidates) from recognized University/ Institution, CA/ ICWA and ACS.
   
Those appearing for their final examination in the respective disciplines can also apply.
 
Financial assistance can be provided only to the regular candidates. To be eligible for for financial assistance,candidate should have valid score of GATE/CAT/NET-JRF at the time of application

Project/ Work experience in these areas would be preferred. As per Govt. of India rules, reservation of seats exist for SC/ST/OBC-NC (Non-Creamy) and PwD candidates.

b. Sponsored Candidates:
Candidates from Industry/ Academia with above eligibility and a minimum of two years experience may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, have to stay in the campus for one year for credit requirements. No financial assistance is available for such candidates.
 
They need to produce sponsorship certificate from the employer. Also they should fill-in the Sponsorship Form available on the NITIE website.

Application fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and applicable bank charges can be made by depositing the application fee with the necessary transaction charges in State Bank of India through online mode only.
 
Applicants are required to upload research proposal (max. 1500 words) in PDF format for their selected research areas (maximum three research areas can be selected from the list given on Program Details Page). Once you submit your application, you will be given a unique "Application Form Number". Candidates are required to submit one set of hard copy of application form(online filled), research proposal(max 1500 words) and relevant documents by April 4,2016 at NITIE, Mumbai through speed-post.
