JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research) is one of the premier institutions in the field of medical education in India. It organizes JIPMER MBBS entrance exam for admission into MBBS course in 200 seats. These courses are provided by the JIPMER, Puducherry &JIPMER, Karaikal. JIPMER 2017 Application Form
  • Candidates who want to apply for JIMPER 2017 exam are required to apply only through the online process.
  • The JIPMER 2017 Application Form will be available from the 27th March to 3rd May 2017.
  • Candidates can fill and submit the application form through the official site of JIPMER.
  • After submitting the application form, no changes will be entertained.
  • The fee payment will be made only through debit/ credit card or net banking.
Application Fee:
  • After filling the form candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs 1200/- for the candidates belonging to general category, and Rs 1000/- for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST). Fee for NRI/OCI candidates is Rs. 2500/-.
  • OPH candidates are exempted from application fee.
  • Candidates can pay the fee through online mode only (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card).
JIPMER Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility norms for MBBS course is mentioned below:
  • Candidates must be an Indian National.
  • OCI and NRI candidates are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission i.e. must born on or before 1st January 2001. There is not any relaxation on age limit for reserved categories.
  • Students must have passed/appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology subjects.
  • The candidate should have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and should have scored minimum 50% marks in PCB (for general) and 40% marks (for SC/ST /OBC/ OPH (reserved).
  • General OPH candidates have to secure minimum 45% marks in the above mentioned subjects.

JIPMER Exam Pattern
  • Language: The exam will be conducted in English medium.
  • No. of Questions: The question paper will contain 200 multiple choice questions.
  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be organized through CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in this exam.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct response.

JIPMER 2017 Admit Card
The JIPMER 2017 Admit Card will be available to download from the 22nd May to 4th June 2017. Students can download the admit card through the official website of JIPMER. The admit card will not be sent by post system. The admit card will contain details like candidates name, date of birth, photo, signature, exam center and roll number.
JIPMER 2017 Result
Candidates can check the JIPMER 2017 Result through the official site of JIPMER. Result will be provided to students on 19th June 2017. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentile and marks obtained by the candidates. Merit list will be prepared separately for different categories. Students who fail to secure the minimum merit list will not be considered for admission.

JIPMER 2018 Exam will be conducted for admission into MBBS programme offered by the JIPMER Karaikal & Puducherry. JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam will be organized by Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry. The application form will be issued from the 4th week of March 2018.
Counselling Process
Before appearing for the JIPMER counselling 2017, candidates have to go through the Biometric finger print and image verification. First counselling of JIPMER 2017 will be conducted from 27th to 30th June 2017. At the time of counselling, candidates have to produce the original required documents. After the document verification, if the candidate is found medically fit by the authority, the candidate subsequently admitted to the course and will be required to pay the fee in cash immediately. The seats will be filled according to merit list on the basis of performance of the candidates in the entrance examination.
