CUCET 2017: Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Dates, Syllabus

 Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a national level entrance test that is organized jointly by the ten central universities together. The ten universities are: Central University of Haryana, South Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Jammu, Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. This test is conducted for admission into the UG/Integrated Programme, Post Graduate Programme and Research Programme in various educational and professional field respectively in these ten Central Universities. The examination commences once in a year in the month of June. Here, we are providing the detailed information about CUCET 2017 including application form, exam dates, eligibility and syllabus.

CUCET Application Form 2017
  • The application form will be available only through online process from the official site.
  • There is no provision for offline application form.
  • The CUCET 2017 Application Form will be available from the 20th March 2017.
  • The last date to submit the application form will be the 14th April 2017.
  • Candidates can pay the fee through online or offline mode.
  • After the submission of the online application form with online payment an automated e-mail and SMS will be sent to the candidate maid ID & mobile number.
  • Those candidates made payment through Challan they have to wait for 7 days after submission of the form.
  • Candidates can apply for a particular course for a maximum of the three PUs (Participating Universities) with a maximum of three options of programmes in each of the selected PU.

CUCET Eligibility Criteria
Here, we are providing the eligibility criteria to appear CUCET 2017 entrance examination. Different universities have different eligibility criteria for their different courses. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.

CUCET 2017 Exam Pattern
  • Papers: Question paper will comprises of PART A and PART B.
  • No. of Questions: The question paper will be consisted of 100 MCQs (multiple choice questions).
    • PART A will be consisted of 25 questions of English Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
    • PART B will be contained 75 MCQs questions and consisted of one/two/three or more sections.
    • Each section will have 25 or more questions.
    • There is a provision that a candidate will require to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions).
    • For Integrated Courses/B.Voc/MBA/MCA/LLB or any other general course(s), only one paper will be conducted which will contain 100 objective types questions.
  • Language: The language of the question paper will be in English.
  • Duration: The duration of each paper will be two hours.
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking. Each correct answer will carry 01 mark and for each wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
CUCET Syllabus
The syllabus of CUCET 2017 is different for particular courses. The syllabus of PG courses will be separate for their prescribed courses.

  • Syllabus for UGO 1:
This paper will contain of two parts: PART A and PART B. PART A comprises of Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills topics. PART B consists of topics of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Syllabus for UGO 2:
The syllabus will be consisting of the topics of the following disciplines: English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
  • Syllabus for M.Phil/ Ph.D Research Programme:
The syllabus of M.Phil and/or Ph.D Research Programme will be comprise as that prescribed for the UGC-CSIR/others NET-JRF Exam.
CUCET 2017 Admit Card
Candidates can get their admit card from the official website. The CUCET 2017 Admit Card will be released on the 5th May 2017. The admit card will be consisted of personal details of the candidates such as candidate name, roll number and exam venue, date etc.
CUCET 2017 Result
The Results will be announced in the 7th June 2017CUCET 2017 Result will be declared on the official portal. On the bases of the performance of the candidate, the merit list will be prepared. After the publication of the merit list candidate have to attend the counseling process for seat allotment.
CUCET 2018 will be managed by the nine central universities jointly. This exam is a national level entrance test conducts for providing admission to the various UG, PG & many other courses. These courses are offered by the central universities across the country. The application form will be issued from the 2nd week of March 2018.
CUCET 2017 Counselling
After the result announcement, the counseling process will be beginning. The CUCET 2017 Counselling process will consist of online allotment of seats and document verification. The counselling will be conducted only for the selected candidates. The seat will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s rank and availability of seats for the preferred course.
